The organizing committee cordially invites all the members of the Society, researchers, students, progressive farmers, government officials and policy makers to participate in this important symposium. We assure that the forum will provide an excellent opportunity to the participants for productive scientific deliberations and interactions. The symposium will provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, expertise, innovative ideas, development and views among scientists and academia related to the main topic “Cutting edge approaches for sustainable plant disease management and ensuring farmers’ profit”. The symposium shall have several thematic areas covering the entire developments in the field of Plant Pathology. Early detection, ensuring disease free seeds and planting materials, eco-friendly and durable management practices to tackle annual and perennial horticultural and field crop diseases in changing climate scenario, thereby reducing the loss incurred by the growers. Road map for devising holistic management strategies for combating various plant diseases in the coming decade. A special interactive workshop on the Careers in Plant Pathology is also being organized on 22nd December 2018 as a part of the Symposium for the benefit of the students who opt for this discipline.
